Now it’s time at last! Wonderful music and a spectacular drama will once again fill our opera house here in Bergslagen. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome you back to Opera på Skäret.
We are doing this with a work by the great master Verdi, and the only one of the greatest operas where the storyline is taking place in Sweden. At the court in Stockholm, to be exact– it is the murder of King Gustav III this highly dramatic opera is based on.
There will be 12 performances of Un Ballo in Maschera (A Masked Ball) between the 30th July and 28th August. During the weekend of the premier, two international singing casts will do one show each.
