Italian opera

This concert is dedicated to some of the most beautiful and well-known works from Italian opera literature.

The opera students from the Academy of Dramatic Arts and Music perform, together with the Borås Symphony Orchestra and Joachim Gustafsson, scenes from Puccini’s moving operas Suor Angelica and La Bohème, Leoncavallo’s beloved opera Pajazzo and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana.

The role of Suor Angelica will be sung by soprano Sandra Wettergren.

Great emotions, moving fates and incredibly beautiful music – opera at its best!

Monica Danielson, who is responsible for opera education at HSM, will once again guide us through the program.
